Recruitment of volunteers

The Clinical Neuroscience Research Centre is located in the South-East of England, serving Kent, Essex and London. The unit is located close to the M25 and M2 in the centre of Dartford, Kent, with access to a very large population of potential trial participants.

We have a large volunteer database including that of MCI and AAMI patients willing to participate in studies.

Onsite clinics serve to support local primary health-care activities and build a patient data-base. Working relationships with local carer groups, charities and GPs have confirmed our status in the community as a leader in clinical trial activity.

The experienced communications team run an efficient recruitment plan, proactively contacting patients in the community. Several strategies are used to target study populations. These include GP mail shots and research participant database mail shots, advertising in newspapers and magazines, leaflet drops, commercial radio and the internet.
